Audience and marketing strategies:
Media: Magazines, Books
In this powerpoint we talk about the different strategies that we could decide to do if we want to promote our film onwards.
Facebook Group
A group & a page on Facebook in which we discussed the progression of our film and finalised the majority of our decisions if not able to meet all together at a set location. This page is also public and gives our audience a way to feel more personal and participated in the project's progression.
By making more edits we had the chance to decide which poster we could use officially, helping us make sure that the finished film had a finished poster.
Examples of movie posters
This poster has two characters in plain view which one looking at the other. They are both opposite sexs and by the way they are postioned you'd asume that there's some intimacy that may be going on. There is a slogan at the top with big writing however it is plain, this may show that it will be there doesnt need to be any fancy font to make sure you're message gets absorbed, especially in this case of "Love is never ugly". We have the two main characters name just above the simple title, again no need to be fancy of this although the illistrations on the boy's face helps to convey a type of emotion, even if it is present. This goes with the title so we have some information about what this story could be about.
How can it help us?
This will show us different techniques to use for our poster, especially when there can be hidden meanings beyond it. Furthermore, to make it even more interesting, we could include some advanced illistration or edits to acompany our poster.
In this particular poster we see that the two main chracters are split and that both are looking at different ways, suggesting danger and seperation. For our poster, we have to include some technical way in which we can display the meaning behind our film, even if it is a small change. Each characters has a statement beside them to explain who they are and what will be of them, this will help the audience understand what type of situation these characters have been put through. We may use this as it not only helps but also make sthe piece seem more interesting and imaginitive .
How can it help us?
By looking at similar movie posters which have the same genre attached to it, will clearly help us make sure that our film can be shown elsewhere.
This is the movie poster that we have decided to use for our film. It is very simple and plain, however we know that by looking through and examining other companies posters we should be able to get an idea of what should be on our poster, which will make it stand out more than it already does.
By including slogans and and taglines, the audience will want to know more about the film and question why is it used. We may also decide to use rhetorical questions which have also been used in film posters to help build some suspision for the audience when looking upon a film poster.
However, this poster is more efficent as it involves a lot more information about the film, with more edits and more characters. Its seems more real and furnished. |
Fairytale Productions' official logo
A logo is a reconized design to represent an organisation or party. It is important in everyday life and many would have to know what stands for what. In this case we are able to brand our own company and make it a unique logo for the film. We wanted to make it simple, so that it will be easier for many to distinguish who's logo it is.
