Our first day of shooting was on the 27th of January, 2012. Our chosen location to film was Boston Manor Park. The footage captured here consisted mainly of Selena, in which we see the character Melissa running through the woods. We wanted a location that created an eerie atmosphere, so we thought an enclosed area like a woodland was a perfect fit. Difficulties we faced included a constant change in the weather, and slippery ground. We had initially wanted this scene to need only natural lighting, and throughout the week we had checked the weather forecast, which informed us the friday we planned to shoot would be a cloudy but dry day. This information only stayed true for the first half hour of our arrival, which we spent searching for a safe place to put the equipment (tripod and camera). For the remainder of our filming session the sun kept letting itself known, ruining are previously wanted 'over-cast but cloudy' lighting. The night before it had been raining, so the path we had chosen Selena to run on was slick with mud, which put her at risk of slipping and injuring herself, (costume design prevented us from switching her into safer footwear) but regardless of these issues we continued on and got as much as we could completed and the overall filming went smoothly.
