- Setting Research
We had a pictured in our mind the sort of place we want to shoot according to the story and characters. we went grooming for the perfect location and luckily I and Louisa found the perfect location near Brentford in the residential area, by the river Thames.

- Theme/ Genre:
Fantasy
Fantasy films are films with fantastic themes, usually involving magic, supernatural events, make-believe creatures, or exotic fantasy worlds. The genre is considered to be distinct from science fiction film and horror film, although the genres do overlap. Fantasy films often have an element of magic, myth, wonder, escapism, and the extraordinary
In fantasy films, the hero often undergoes some kind of mystical experience and must ask for assistance from powerful, superhuman forces. Ancient Greek mythological figures or Arabian Nights-type narratives are the typical storylines. Flying carpets, magic swords and spells, dragons, and ancient religious relics or objects are common elements. Bizarre and imaginary, invented lands include sci-fi worlds, fairy tale settings or other whimsical locales are common settings.
Fantasy films are most likely to overlap with the film genres of science fiction and horror. When the narrative of a fantasy film tends to emphasize advanced technology in a fantastic world, it may be considered predominantly a science fiction film. Or when the supernatural/fantasy forces are specifically intended to frighten the audience, a fantasy film falls more within the horror genre.
The description above is what I found while surfing the net however, the theme or genre is vast and anything can bind into it as long it carries the element of magic and mystery. It could also include the tragedy too. The basic principle of every film is to entertain people other than making money, sometimes message are passed through the story. However now you will most often find fantasy films which are aimed at the younger children up to teenagers. However the concept of our film is totally different. By different I mean that our film story is aimed at open at range of audience audience, its much more matured and sophisticated story line. Audience should be able to connect with our story because sacrifice is a common theme in love stories however it doesn't make this story a "Romeo & Juliet" of Shakespeare but it rather redefines the idea of sacrifice in love. You read or seen people sacrifice for love but you have seen some one sacrificing the love itself.
Below are some lists of fantasy films:

- Sound
At first we discussed responsibilities amongst ourselves and felt that if we each divided the chief jobs, the processes of creating our film would go along a lot more smoothly. We were confident in Jessica's ability to be the music director because she is the more educated in that area out of our group. Her role includes responsibility of directing and producing the music and sound for our film.
We wanted a piece set at an adagio pace and a high pitch that would eventually crescendo towards the end of our film opening to create tension. Initially we decided to compose our very own music piece but we soon realised it was time consuming and the editing stage took a lot longer than we had expected it to. After some research we decided that it would be a time-saver to use a piece of music that already exists, and so we used an acoustic guitar/piano piece, and also some symphonic pieces. We wanted to use a minimalist piece that created an aura of uncertainty to make the audience feel on edge and also to make them anticipate something negative happening.

-Custom and make-up research
The main character, the girl (Melissa) she's a simple girl so she dresses smart for example she wears jeans, tops, shirts and also a blazer.
Make-up; she wears simple dull and she makes herself natural not all big or over the top, she wears simple mascara, eyeliner and clear lipgloss. Hair; Curly & Brown
Matt; blonde, spiked hair whereas sam's hair is black, normal but curly.
Both characters dress casual for example Matt wears jeans, hoodie's and he's not a smart dude whereas Sam dresses smart by wearing black trousers and wears smart black shoe's and at time's he would wear a blazer but however their attitude's reflect too their clothing which show their character profile.
This is a example of style of casual clothes that sam could be wearing in the opening scene.
This is another example of clothing that sam could wearing, hes a character who wears casual clothing
Mellisa's character may look simillar like this and the other images below also show the way the main characters clothing will look like.
Example of both chatracters [SAM AND MELLISA] they both have a casaul type clothing and may be similar to this.

-Titles & Taglines:
We played around with the title just to see what see what effects it might have.
Eamples:
Sacrifice,
SACRIFICE
SACRiFiCE
sAcRiFiCe
SaCrIfIcE
After experimenting with the capital letters and small letters we agreed that the title looked more appropriate and effective in capital letters, it stood out more bold and looked mysterious but simple at the same time.
Then we thought of some taglines that could be used and that matched the idea of our film/genre.
Examples:
Love VS Death,
LOVE vs DEATH
LoVe Vs DeAtH
lOvE vS dEaTh
LOVE vS death
"ALL Love end in Tragedy"
WHERE THERE IS LOVE THERE'S A SACRIFICE!
LOVE FOLLOWED BY TRAGEDY
LOVE AND DEATH ONE THING YOU CANNOT DEFEAT
BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ITS LOVE VS DEATH?!
THEY SAY LOVE CONQUERS ALL...EVEN DEATHS?
DOES LOVE CONQUER ALL?....EVEN DEATH?
DOES DEATH CONQUER ALL?....EVEN LOVE?
After a long discussion, we decided to go along with "WHERE THERE'S LOVE THERE IS A SACRIFICE!", as it seemed to be more direct. Also audience would recognise and accept it.
